Job Purpose
To carry out the duties of Sports Centre Assistant, of which extensive details can be found in the induction package and below. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
To be a keyholder for the Sports Centre, and to ensure the site is locked at the beginning and end of the shift, alarms off/on and secure. To ensure a smooth operation of evening lettings, meeting client's needs and ensuring the facilities are used correctly / safely. Ensure any outstanding emails are read, dealt with and cleared.
Job Duties
Sports Centre Assistants are expected to perform the following duties to ensure they meet this role's expectations.
- To be keyholder for the Sports Centre, and to ensure the site is locked at the beginning and end of shift, alarms off/on and secure.
- To ensure a smooth operation of evening lettings, meeting client's needs and ensuring the facilities are used correctly/safely.
- Check all areas for damage, make a note and report to the Site Team via the Web Help Desk.
- Ensure Google Sheet is updated each evening with payments and clubs in attendance.
- Ensure any outstanding emails are read, dealt with and cleared.
- Answer the phone whilst on shift and deal with any messages.
- Keep the office tidy and ensure all lost property is destroyed or dealt with per school policy.
- If any issues occur during your shift which you are unable to deal with, contact either the Site Manager (Nick Thomson) Co-ordinator (Jack Moss) or the School Business Manager (Claire Burnard).
- Ensure all pitches, courts, and areas are regularly suitable for clients during your shift, checking for damage or lighting issues.
- Ensure the outdoor bins are emptied regularly.
- Use CCTV system throughout your shift.
Other job requirements:
- Any issues you cannot deal with during your shift, make a note in the diary for the next shift to deal with. If there are any points you feel the next shift should be aware of, again note in the diary.
- If any intruders are on site at any time, the Police should be called to have them removed.
