Mealtime Assistant to be part of our brilliant Early Years team. This post is for 7.5 hours per week, 38 weeks of the year and is a
permanent position starting on
5th January 2026 or as soon as possible after this date. The salary scale is

This is an exciting time to join our Early Years team as we prepare to expand our current provision to begin taking children from
2 years old. This expansion is a significant step for both the
local community and our school-it will allow us to offer high-quality early education at a vital stage in child development, laying strong foundations for learning and supporting families from the very beginning of their child's journey.
We are looking for an Early Years Mealtime Assistant who: - Enjoys supporting young children in a calm, caring and nurturing environment
- Understands the importance of mealtime routines in promoting healthy eating, independence and positive social skills
- Builds warm, trusting relationships with children and works positively with colleagues
- Is reliable, proactive and able to support smooth, safe and well-organised lunchtime provision
- Actively engages with children in play, promoting inclusion, turn-taking and friendship, while ensuring safe and positive supervision during playtimes
