Actual Salary: Up to £16,754.59
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time
Working Hours: 24 Hours per week (9am to 3pm, 4 Days a week)SGS College have an exciting opportunity for an Examination Administrator at our Bristol campuses.
The successful candidate will require good administration skills and some relevant experience in an admin type role. Previous experience of working in an examinations or educational office would be an advantage to this role, but focussed job-related training will be provided. The role is exciting, busy and varied and will include a focus on the operational management of our day-to-day examinations for our vocation qualifications, with the flexibility to also engage in supporting with the larger-scale General Qualification provisions.
The ideal candidate will have good organisational and time management skills, be self-motivated, be comfortable working on multiple priorities and meeting multiple external deadlines under supervision. The ability to communicate at all levels (both externally and internally) is essential for this role, as is the commitment to a customer-focussed exams service, providing a calm environment to support learners to achieve.
This role will involve providing support for the Exam Teams Officers and Manager, completing administration tasks and supporting with the overall delivery of examinations throughout the college.
The post holder will be based primarily at our Filton campus, but the role may involve occasional travel to our WISE and Stroud Campuses.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities- Booking, preparing and running day-to-day vocational exams, communicating with staff and awarding bodies in the process.
- Process and dispatch certificates to learners.
- Assist in applying for Access Arrangements, whilst also making sure they are provided in examinations.
- Assist in the registration of learners and certification claiming of qualifications.
- Support Exam Officers and the Exams Manager with other tasks relevant to an Exams Administrator role as and when required
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications- Experience using Microsoft Office Software
- Previous Administration experience
- Good attention to detail and data
- Strong communication skills to liaise with staff, students and Awarding Bodies
