Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Salary: Grade F £20,501.90 - £21,882.85 Actual Salary
Retention Allowance: £2,839.96 - £3,029.93
Honorarium: £1500
Are you a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant with a special interest in supporting students' communication development? Join our team and help us make a real difference in the lives of students by supporting and enhancing their communication skills.
The Role:As a Level 4 Teaching Assistant for Communication, you will play a key role in helping students develop essential communication skills, both individually and in groups. Your work will include providing direct support to pupils, assisting classroom teachers, and collaborating with staff and families to ensure the effective development of communication across the school.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, deliver, and assess group communication sessions for pupils across all year groups.
- Deliver training and ongoing support to staff, including class teams, to enhance their communication skills in the classroom.
- Create and provide communication resources that support students' individual needs.
- Liaise with families to reinforce and generalize communication skills at home.
- Establish and maintain a communication-focused classroom that is purposeful, engaging, and conducive to learning.
- Work closely with the communication lead to ensure consistent and effective strategies are in place across the school.
Requirements:- Proven experience in supporting the communication development of young people.
- Strong ability to plan, deliver, and assess communication interventions and resources.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, pupils, and families.
- A proactive, creative, and flexible approach to problem-solving and communication strategies.
