Design Technology Technician to support our thriving Create department and help shape an inspiring learning environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and maintain practical resources and equipment to ensure lessons run smoothly and safely.
- Support teaching staff during lessons, including assisting with demonstrations and practical activities.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, order materials, and manage the safe storage of tools and equipment.
- Ensure all machinery and equipment are regularly maintained and comply with health and safety standards.
- Work alongside staff to help create engaging displays and contribute to the creative atmosphere of the department.
- Encourage and support students in developing their skills and confidence during practical work.
We're looking for someone who: - Is organised, reliable, and practical with good attention to detail.
- Has experience or interest in working with tools, materials, and workshop equipment.
- Can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Shares our school's values and is committed to supporting every student's success.
- Has an understanding of health and safety in a workshop or school setting (training will be provided if needed).
