About the Role SGS College has an exciting opportunity for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant at The Chase.
The Chase is a Specialist SEND provision at our Stroud campus supporting young people aged 16-24. It focuses on preparing learners for adulthood, employment, and supported living.
We are seeking a passionate and adaptable HLTA to support learners and deliver small-group intervention sessions.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities - Plan and deliver interventions for SEND learners under the direction of the Provision Lead
- Support learning in class, in small groups, or whole-class settings (in the teacher's absence)
- Prepare differentiated learning resources based on learner needs
- Maintain up-to-date EHCP contributions and departmental records
- Liaise with support staff and professionals including social workers, therapists, and psychologists
- Assist tutors in class to support learners
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications - HLTA qualification (or willingness to achieve it)
- Experience supporting SEND learners
- Experience delivering intervention groups
- Functional Skills English and Maths at Level 2
- Good understanding of digital technology
