FTE Salary: up to £37,839.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)

https://www.sgscol.ac.uk/ An exciting opportunity has arisen at SGS College in the Higher Education Disability Support Service for a manager to lead a successful team, provide support to students who declare disabilities and oversee the progression of an efficient and effective service.The Disability Support Service provides advice, guidance and support for current and prospective students with disabilities. We work closely with our support services, academic staff and student community to remove barriers and improve accessibility.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities - To line manage staff in the HE Disability Service and perform line management duties i.e., return to work, appraisals, induction, probation reviews, absence management and manage the HE Disability staff daily.
- To be responsible for the performance management of staff in team, including training, development and maintenance of required professional memberships and accreditation.
- Responsible for the delivery of a high quality and responsive service to students, monitoring and reviewing service user feedback and taking action to improve and enhance the service as appropriate.
- Responsible for the strategic development and implementation of an accessible and inclusive service delivery model, which is responsive to ongoing needs of our students.
- To ensure statutory requirements from DSA/Student Finance/OfS are maintained and that accurate records are kept for audit.
- To keep up to date with relevant legislation and strategies that relate to disability and inclusion and use this to develop policies and frameworks to reflect best practice and compliance.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications - GCSE in English and Maths, or relevant equivalent and good general education
- SEND specific qualifications at level 2 or above
- Relevant degree

- Skilled at implementing and maintaining efficient systems
- Knowledge of successfully managing and delivering student/client facing services whilst ensuring compliance with external frameworks or legislation
