About the RoleSGS College is inviting internal applicants for the role of
Construction Apprenticeships Team Leader, responsible for leading the team of Construction Building Lecturer Assessors.
This role focuses on ensuring high-quality teaching, learning, and outcomes across all Construction qualifications and apprenticeship programmes. You will lead on
attendance, retention, achievement, and progression.
You will ensure learners' needs are properly assessed and supported, appropriate training and assessment are provided, and students are tracked and progressed within defined timelines.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities- Promote a high-performance culture and curriculum aligned with College strategy
- Deliver up to 828 annual teaching hours (pro rata for part-time) in line with the college workload agreement
- Lead curriculum development including needs assessment, planning, course creation, and evaluation
- Monitor learner progress, manage registers and reviews, and maintain EPA (End Point Assessment) documentation
- Support recruitment and delivery of Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) for student progression
- Prepare and submit information for audit and accreditation according to awarding body guidelines
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications- Relevant trade qualification or proven occupational competence
- Experience delivering vocational courses to a minimum of Level 3
- Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience
- Strong IT literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word
