Charlbury Primary School is looking for an exceptional School Business Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and take the reins on all non-teaching operations. As part of the wider River Learning Trust (RLT), you will play a crucial role in ensuring our pupils get the best possible "one go" at their education. This is a senior and hands-on role where you will provide strategic support to the Headteacher, SLT, and Governing Body.

Hours per week 20-25 hours per week. 41 Working Weeks. Flexible working patterns including some working from home available.
Salary Grade 10 pt 27 - 30 (£38,221 - 40,778) FTE (Actual Salary will depend on working hours £19,066.00 - £25,427.00 per year)

As the School's Business Manager and a member of the school's senior leadership team you will have full ownership of the school's key support functions, covering four critical pillars:
- Finance: Take a lead role in the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of the school budget, managing expenditure, procurement, and contracts (supported by a Finance Officer)
- HR & Administration: Oversee all HR processes, including leading on staff recruitment, training, and appraisal, and providing line management to the administrative team (Office Manager and Admin Assistant)
- Facilities & Site Management: Manage the school's facilities, premises, lettings income, and building projects, ensuring a safe and compliant environment (supported by an H&S Officer)
- Strategy & Compliance: Ensure full legal compliance across all operational areas (including DfES returns and website compliance) and take a lead role in the vital task of marketing and promoting the school.
What skills and experience are required ?- A highly experienced and professional business manager who can demonstrate:
- Strategic financial acumen and proven budget management skills
- A comprehensive understanding of HR processes and line management experience
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage complex administrative procedures
- A collaborative spirit and a commitment to the principles and ethos of a successful multi-academy trust
