Examination Invigilator – January 2026 start
Latymer Upper School is one of the leading independent co-educational schools in the UK with over 1100 highly able and academically ambitious students. Our School is very popular and achieves extremely high academic results. We are currently expanding our team of invigilators to assist with the smooth running and security of examinations. We have opportunities for responsible and reliable people with excellent communication and organisational skills to work part day sessions, some of which may start at 8 am and finish after 4pm. You will be responsible for ensuring the examinations held in the school are run in accordance with strict regulations.
You will need to be energetic, flexible in working hours and committed to supporting students at a stressful time. Previous experience of similar duties would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be given on joining the team and regular refresher meetings are held throughout the year.
Employment will be on casual contract, paid monthly for hours worked. Shifts are offered an ad-hoc basis depending on the exam timetables, typically either a morning and/or afternoon session with a start time of either 8.00am or 12.30pm.
Most of the invigilating work is offered in May and June every year, though there will also be some sessions offered in January, the second half of February, late April and early September.
We offer a competitive hourly pay rate of £14.81 (inclusive of holiday pay) and a free lunch for staff working a full day.
[Regrettably, we cannot consider parents of students currently enrolled at the school].

Diversity – The School is fully committed to the principles of equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion. We have an established and representative staff Equality and Diversity Board to help drive forward positive change. A further Equality and Diversity Committee has recently been formed from our student population.
We are committed to attracting and retaining the very best staff, ensuring that our staff body reflects the diversity of our students and local community. Acknowledging a lack of ethnic diversity within our support staff community, we particularly encourage applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates for this role. All appointments will be made on merit, following a fair and transparent process. In line with the Equality Act 2010, however, the School may employ positive action
