United Kingdom £4,706.41 - £4,780.25 + well-being cash plan + pension scheme (LGPS) + additional Lift Schools benefits Part Time, Fixed term until August 2026 8.33 hours per week (7am - 8.40am Monday - Friday) , 39 weeks per year December 2025 Start We are seeking a friendly and reliable Breakfast Club Assistant to create a warm, well organised start to the school day. You will welcome pupils, prepare simple healthy breakfasts, and lead calm, engaging activities so children are ready to learn at registration.
Lift Hamford is a vibrant school within the Lift Schools network that achieved a good status in November 2022 and serves our coastal community. We strive to ensure that children get the best opportunities to achieve the highest possible outcomes and that high-quality learning is at the heart of everything we do. In January 2026, we are excited to be opening a brand new nursery class for two, three and four year-olds, further extending our commitment to providing exceptional early years education and care for local families.
You will: - Set up the Breakfast Club space, prepare and serve simple nutritious breakfast items, and take accurate registers.
- Welcome and supervise pupils (including EYFS once open), promoting positive behaviour and routines.
- Lead quiet, age appropriate activities that build social skills and readiness to learn.
- Be vigilant to safeguarding, welfare or medical needs and follow school procedures, reporting concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards, including tidying and resetting the area for the school day.
You will need to bring: - A calm, caring and proactive approach with confidence managing groups of children.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow safeguarding and food hygiene procedures.
- Experience supporting or supervising children (as a parent/carer, club leader or in a school) is desirable.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 and First Aid certificates are desirable (or willingness to train).
