An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint someone, who possesses a variety of special skills which can be used when working with children, young people and their families: eg: therapeutic mentoring; mental health first aid; safeguarding; managing challenging behaviour; academic support in the classroom. As well the administration of the induction process working with our stakeholders.
You will be part of a passionate and dedicated team making a real difference to children and young people's lives. As an Induction Support Worker, your primary role will be to support new students as they transition into the academy, helping them to settle, engage, and develop the skills to succeed.
What skills / experience are required
The role requires skills in: coaching, mentoring, mediation and leading/supporting learning; in either group based or 1:1 situations as well as good organisational and administrative skills
You will have personal resilience, an empathetic approach and be happy working flexibly and under pressure. Your desire to learn new skills and contribute to the wider development of the College will be welcomed
