This post is offered on a temporary basis as Maternity Cover. A TLR2b (£6,034) will be paid per annum for the duration of this contract.

If so, we would love to hear from you!We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring practitioner to lead our department on a maternity cover basis and drive excellence in Social Sciences.This role is for maternity cover, starting in January 2026.

Key responsibilities:- Monitor and assess student progress, using data to drive improvements and intervention strategies when necessary.
- Oversee a well-balanced curriculum which meets the needs of all learners.
- Coordinate the professional development of staff, ensuring they receive the support and opportunities needed to thrive in their roles.
- Serve as a positive role model for staff and students, demonstrating the highest professional standards and commitment to student welfare.

As the Head of Social Sciences, you will play a key role, leading a thriving and dedicated team, setting high expectations and supporting the development of a curriculum that challenges, engages, and inspires students.
