Temporary Positions - Full time from January, expected to last up to one year or until the post holder returns.

Salary: Main Scale / upper payscale (with potential for additional responsibilities)

We are seeking two enthusiastic and dedicated Teachers of Science to join our thriving Science Department on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. These roles are available until the postholders return from maternity leave. You will be joining a dynamic, well-resourced, and supportive department that is passionate about delivering high-quality science education across all key stages. The team is collaborative and committed to continuous improvement, with a strong track record of excellent student outcomes and innovative teaching practices. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT, you'll be fully supported by a team that values professional development and teamwork. While this is a Main Scale teaching role, the school is keen to nurture talent and may offer additional responsibilities for the right candidate, depending on experience and departmental needs.

About the School
Lister Community School is a large 11-16 Academy at the heart of its community, and is part of the Newham Community Learning Trust. Our vision is to provide a world class international education for young people in Newham. We firmly believe our young people have the right to the same quality of teaching and range of opportunities as at any school in the country, and our ethos is one of continuous improvement, with a focus on strong partnerships and staff development.
