About the Role:We are seeking an ambitious and inspirational
Head of Curriculum - English to lead, develop and drive excellence across our English provision. This is a key leadership role within the school, responsible for shaping a coherent, challenging and inclusive English curriculum that enables all students to achieve highly and develop a lifelong love of language and literature.
The successful candidate will provide strategic direction for English teaching and learning, ensuring the curriculum is knowledge-rich, well-sequenced and aligned with national expectations. You will lead and support a team of dedicated teachers, using evidence-informed practice to raise standards, close attainment gaps and improve outcomes for all learners.

About the School
Lister Community School is a large 11-16 Academy at the heart of its community, and is part of the Newham Community Learning Trust. Our vision is to provide a world class international education for young people in Newham. We firmly believe our young people have the right to the same quality of teaching and range of opportunities as at any school in the country, and our ethos is one of continuous improvement, with a focus on strong partnerships and staff development.
