The Opportunity We are looking for a skilled and motivated SEND Teaching Assistant to support in our enhanced SEND provision, providing specialist educational interventions to our pupils. You will work under the direction of our SENDCo and class teachers, providing small group work on individualised timetable plan for specific pupils. This is a fixed term contract to end 31 August 2026.
About You - Level 2 qualification in both English and Maths of grade A*- C (or equivalent)
- NVQ 3 or equivalent in teaching assistance or equivalent qualification or experience working at that level.
- Experience of delivering class-based interventions preferable.
- Full working knowledge of relevant policies/ codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation
- Working knowledge of national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes
- Understanding of principles of child development and learning processes and, in particular, barriers to learning
- Ability to relate well to children and adults
- Work constructively as part of a team
- Empathy and ability to analyse and determine appropriate actions
- Understanding of, and ability to comply with the requirements of safeguarding/Child Protection
- A positive role model, who is able to make positive relationships with children.
