Assistant Theatre & AV Technician
Join Wellington College, a dynamic and innovative boarding and day school where ambition, kindness, and curiosity shape every aspect of our community. Our campus hosts a wide range of events, from academic conferences and lectures to music recitals and College celebrations, all supported by advanced audio-visual technology. We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Theatre & AV Technician to provide essential technical support across these activities.
This role is primarily based within the AV side of the College, ensuring the smooth delivery of presentations, meetings, and events. You will assist with the setup and pack down of AV equipment, operate sound, video, and lighting systems under supervision, and help maintain technical resources to the highest standards. Working closely with the Theatre & Technical Manager, you will play a key part in creating seamless experiences for staff, pupils, and guests. Working for 40 hours per week.
Wellington College offers an environment where creativity and innovation thrive. While your focus will be on AV support, you will have opportunities to broaden your technical knowledge and develop skills in areas such as video editing and integrated AV systems. This is an excellent role for someone with a basic understanding of AV technology and a willingness to learn, who enjoys problem-solving and working flexibly in a fast-paced setting.
Located in Crowthorne, Berkshire, with train and bus links providing easy access to transport connections, our campus is a hub of artistic and academic excellence. If you are organised, adaptable, and committed to delivering outstanding technical support, we would love to hear from you.
