This is a fantastic internal development opportunity designed to support your professional growth while ensuring effective financial management across our 20 primary schools. You will provide finance support whilst working towards your professional qualification and training to become a Finance Business Partner within the trust.
The role is offered flexibly with the exact hours and working pattern tailored to the needs of the successful candidate. We are seeking a minimum of 7.5 hours per week (equivalent of 1 day) up to 14.5 hours per week (equivalent of 2 days) this can be term time, term time plus or all year round.
This position offers a clear pathway for career progression.
Starting at Grade 10, the role provides structured salary increases as you advance through your professional qualifications:
Rise to Grade 11 upon completion of AAT Level 3.
Rise to Grade 12 upon completion of AAT Level 4 (or equivalent), transitioning into a full Finance Business Partner role.
Providing training and advice to school finance staff, supporting our primary schools with budget preparation and monitoring and providing strategic advice to headteachers and governors. Along with opportunities to join project teams to continuously improve the trust systems and processes.
The successful candidate will be working towards a professional finance qualification, be highly organised and a strong communicator with an ability to build strong working relationships with our schools and central team colleagues.
