Lecturer and Technician in Photography & Film (MAT cover) Role Information: This role is recruiting for one individual who will be teaching and have a technician role, the role will be broken up into the following hours; the Technician role will be whole days on
Tuesdays and Thursdays totalling
14.8 hours a week and the Lecturer role will be on
Wednesdays from 09:00 - 12:15, and Fridays from 11:15 - 15:15 totalling
9.3 hours a week.Reference: REQ001405Location: Stroud CampusFTE Salary for Lecturing role: up to £34,044.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)Actual Salary: £8,557.00
FTE Salary for Technician role: £25,287.00 Actual Salary: £10,114.80

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer and Technician for a MAT cover position within our Stroud School of Art team!The successful candidate for this role will be taking on a dual role MAT cover position which is fixed term until 12th April 2027. Unfortunately, this role is unable to be split into the two separate roles.
The technician role will be preparing and maintaining the studio and department resources. The successful candidate will be required to support relevant workshops and to assist lecturers and students as required. The lecturing part of this role will be to preparing and teaching this cohort of learners.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities- Teaching // To undertake all forms of pedagogic work which may include classroom teaching, tutorial work, online and distance learning.
- Teaching // To contribute to, organise and complete all academic and pastoral duties such as assessments, unit delivery, tutorials and course planning.
- Technician // To maintain, organise and support the access to resources and learning opportunities within the department with a general focus on photography and film.
Beneficial Skills & QualificationsEducated to Degree or higher in a creative based subject.
Photography and/or film methodology and process skills.
Open minded, experimental and collaborative approach to creative work.
