We have an exciting role of Advanced Practitioner SEND within our Quality team!Join us at SGS College and lead impactful SEND professional development that empowers teachers and support staff to deliver truly inclusive, high‑quality learning. In this role, you'll coach and mentor educators, drive meaningful organisational change aligned with national reforms, and teach SEND and Adaptive Teaching units on our Level 5 Diploma. You will play a key part in quality assurance, helping to elevate teaching and learning across the College.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of CPD to equip teaching and support staff with enhanced SEND knowledge, understanding and evidence-based teaching approaches
- Provide high-quality coaching and mentoring to new and developing teachers, fostering their growth and professional practice
- Support senior leadership in driving organisational change aligned with government reforms and relevant white papers.
- Teach SEND and Adaptive Teaching units on the L5 Diploma in Teaching FE & Skills, ensuring high-quality delivery and UpToDate professional practice.
- Contribute to Quality Assurance processes, including undertaking learning walks, observations, and other evaluative activities to enhance teaching and learning.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications- Deep, specialist knowledge of SEND, including neurodiversity, learning difficulties, physical and sensory needs, communication needs and SEMH.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Specialist SEND qualifications and relevant professional training.
- A proven track record of delivering measurable improvements in teaching, learning and learner outcomes
