Accuracy, efficiency, and accountability - be at the heart of our financial operationsThe Active Learning Trust is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Trust Finance Officer to support the Trust's financial operations. This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant processing of all expenditure and income across the Trust, helping academies operate efficiently while maintaining robust financial control. The successful candidate will contribute to strong financial stewardship, ensuring public accountability and supporting the achievement of the Trust's Key Performance Indicators.
This is a primarily a hybrid role, with occasional travel to our central team office at Neale Wade Academy, March, and potentially other sites across Cambridge and Suffolk.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and pay all approved Trust and academy expenditure accurately and on time.
- Raise and manage sales invoices and monitor income to support cashflow and minimise aged debt.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and reconciliations, supporting financial reporting and statutory returns.
- Ensure compliance with the Academy Trust Handbook, Trust financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Provide excellent service to academies, central teams, and suppliers through clear communication and responsive support.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support efficiency, automation, and standardisation across the Trust.
